Heavy/Straight Oil vs Water-soluble Coolant Mist

“MIST” characteristics depend on cutting fluid type (Water-based or Heavy/Straight Oil). “Mist” is cutting fluid “vaporized” by heat.  Processes using Water-soluble Coolant result in larger mist particle sizes.  Typically between 2-10μm. Heavy/Straight oil mist particles are smaller, 2μm and below. The particle size difference and concentration between Water-soluble Coolant and Heavy/Straight oil is more than 10 times. If you are using Heavy/Straight oil as your cutting fluid, the EM-eII Series is the right machine
